Homeopathy is an alternative system of medicine, which was founded in 1789 by German physician Dr. Samuel Hahnemann. It was very popular at this time, but with the dawn of modern medicine, its popularity declined. However, the 1980's produced its revival. It is now the second most widely used medicine in the world.

Homeopathy (Homoeopathy in it's true spelling) has been around for over two hundred years. For a medicine (or remedy) to be homeopathic it must be based on the Law of Similars. This states that a substance that causes symptoms in a healthy person will remove those symptoms in an unhealthy person. Homeopathic medicine stimulates the vital force (or Dynamis) to heal the body. A Homeopath takes detailed symptoms to arrive at the correct remedy for a patient.
